Finding clarity in the chaos of summer
Note: Clarity, not calm :)
I write you today from beautiful yet freeeeeezzzzzing Scotland.
We come to visit my husband’s family in Glasgow every year, but we never anticipated such a cold season!
I am wearing 4 layers, fleece socks and a beanie on most days 😅 and so are my kids.
We must embrace it though, because Dubai is the extreme opposite and we will be back there in a week.
Kid’s have been off school for almost 7 weeks, with another 8 days to go. 🙈 🤷🏽♀️
We have been to India for 2 weeks visiting my family, and Scotland for 3 weeks.
All great, but chaos, as you can imagine with 2 high-energy children aged 4 and 6 on holiday with no routine and lots of treats!
Traveling for 6 weeks or so in summer was never possible for us before because I had a full-time corporate role with limited time off.
I quit that role in June last year to design my work around my life which is why we have been able to get away for so long, one of the many pros of being your own boss!
However, that does not mean I can take all that time off. I have just started my business and do not want to lose momentum.
So between travel and kids and family and road trips and friends, I have still been working on my own business.
I planned my must-do’s around summer, and I am happy to say that I am very much on track, and I think it’s mainly because I AM LOVING WHAT I’M DOING!
Yes, it is work and it’s long hours and a hustle with only a trickle of income so far, but I am really enjoying it because of who I am becoming because of it. I am learning and growing SO much.
After a few iterations, my business revolves around helping working mums and female entrepreneurs learn how to use AI to work smarter and faster, and make their first dollar online. It marries two subjects I am passionate about:
New technology that will make our life easier
Making money online which will help us create work we enjoy and be free from an employer
And I am excited to wake up and work on this, and share everything I know.
I am excited to see other women transform how they do things because of what I have taught them
And whilst my “must do” list was not that big over summer, I have been working “on my business” a lot and the biggest thing I feel I have gotten this summer for my business is CLARITY.
Clarity that comes from having time away to reflect on the last 6 months.
Clarity that I love what I am doing and it’s been the best decision ever.
Clarity on my purpose to support working mums and solopreneurs learn to use AI and make money online.
Clarity on what I’m doing for the rest of the year.
Clarity on my own belief in myself that I can make my purpose into a thriving business.
Clarity on my financial goals and conviction that I will reach them.
Clarity on where I see myself 5 years from now.
The visualisations that I have been having about my future life and business over the last few weeks have been crystal clear and driving me even more towards my goals.
I see the time freedom and financial independence that I seek clearly in reach.
This is an incredible feeling and one that I haven’t felt for a very long time.
When I left Dubai to start the summer holidays, I felt so much overwhelm and like I was so behind and would be left even more behind after an 8-week summer.
However, forced time away from my business helped my mind refresh in a way that I did not realise that it was exactly what was needed after a hectic first half of 2024.
The space away from working on the nitty gritty’s of my business has helped me beyond what I imagined.
So if you are feeling overwhelmed by whatever may lie in front of you, perhaps taking some time away from it will help you get back on track.

Since embarking on my own business journey, I have connected with some amazing mums building amazing things whilst also seeking time freedom and financial independence.

The fact that you can package your knowledge into a product or course and build a business around it, boggles my mind.
This is what I'm doing and I still cannot believe it. I feel like I am cheating!
And now, thanks to tools like AI, doing this has become SO much easier and accessible to everyone. You no longer need any prior skills to make this happen for you.
