Are we still thinking for ourselves?
As AI gets smarter, the real challenge isn’t keeping up; it’s remembering to think for ourselves.
Every week when I sit down to record our podcast, “Who do you want to be,” a podcast that explores the intersection of human intelligence and artificial intelligence, I’m reminded why I started it in the first place.
I do this for women like us: women holding careers, children, ambition, dreams.
Women navigating life at full speed in a world that’s shifting faster than we ever imagined.
A world where AI is no longer some distant concept. It’s here. In our homes. In our work.
It’s helping. It’s overwhelming.
It’s both.
Who Do You Want to Be? is a space to slow down.
To reflect. To ask better questions.
To use technology with intention, while staying anchored in who we truly are.
We don’t have all the answers, but we do want to have the conversations.
In this week’s episode we’re not talking about robots taking over the world.
We’re talking about something quieter, and maybe more dangerous.
👉 What happens when we slowly stop thinking for ourselves?
In this conversation, my cohost Sabine and I explore Sam Altman’s idea of the “silent surrender” the fear that as AI tools become more seamless, we may begin to hand over our creativity, our decisions, even our identity to them… simply because it’s easier.
We talk about:
Why this surrender is so easy to fall into
The subtle impact on our mindset, motivation, and confidence
How we model tech use for our children
And how to stay present, grounded, and human in the midst of it all
This isn’t about resisting change.
It’s about staying conscious through it, so we can make the most of it whilst avoiding the worst of it.

I’d love to leave you with this:
Since you started using AI… do you feel like you’re still thinking for yourself, especially about things that matter the most?
Or are you slowly outsourcing more than you realise?
