Hello friends,
I'm writing to you today from the United Nations Conference for Climate Change COP28.
I have been lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy this global conference as a journalist, for a change! (Usually I am the one managing the journalists)

It's been quite an eye opening conference, on many fronts. It's such a mammoth event, so if you are not intentional about what you are doing here, it's easy to be overwhelmed and lost.
Climate change is not my expertise, so I am trying to filter through the noise on the ground and in the media, and understand the issue before us without bias. I am meeting some interesting people who are innovating to find solutions to the climate crisis.
Today is a 'rest' day, but I am here because my brother, who is recycling packets of crisps into sunglasses (nothing short of magic!), is exhibiting and is also on a panel later in the week!
The holidays and Christmas is coming…
School is coming to an end; I'm tying up loose ends of the projects I am working on; and we have visitors all the way till mid-January!
I am also trying to work out Christmas presents. I think my kids will get new books I made using AI. This is such a cool gift as they can help me make them, I can customise the story and characters to what they would love to read about, and it only takes me 90 minutes to write, illustrate and design it!
